Welcome Message from the President

Airdrie Black Community (ABC)

By: Kirk Bolton, President

Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Airdrie Black Community (ABC).

I am Kirk Bolton, President of ABC, and it is with great pride that I, along with our dedicated Board of Directors, extend a warm welcome to you. We are thrilled to represent & serve a vibrant, diverse, and growing Black community here in the City of Airdrie a community rich in culture, talent, and unity.
It is an honour to serve as President alongside a dedicated & passionate Board of Directors and an expanding network of committee members who work tirelessly to uphold the mission and vision of our organization. Every achievement you see reflected here is the result of committed volunteers who consistently give their time, skills, and creativity to strengthen and advance our community.
At ABC, we are guided by our Administration’s Commitment—represented by the acronym RISE—which stands for Reinforcing, Inclusivity, Support, and Empowerment for all and in everything we do. This commitment is woven into our programs, our advocacy, our partnerships, and the way we plan for the future. As our membership grows, so does our capacity to influence the social, cultural, and economic development of Black residents in Airdrie.
Our goals are ambitious, and they are driven by what we know is possible when a community stands together with purpose.
One of our major strategic priorities is the establishment of the ABC Foundation, a charitable arm that will allow us to unlock greater opportunities, secure grants, and expand our reach to better support families, youth, seniors, entrepreneurs, & cultural initiatives. The Foundation will enable us to respond to needs more effectively & build programs that uplift & empower our people.
We are also committed to the long-term development of an ABC Community Centre—a space created for us, by us. This centre will serve as a home for cultural celebration, business development, community services, youth programming, and social connection. It is a bold vision, but one that reflects the value we place on creating spaces where our stories, traditions, and contributions are honoured.
This website marks an important step in our modernization efforts. Here, you will find:
As you explore the website, I encourage you to consider becoming an Active Member if you have not yet done so. Your membership strengthens our collective voice, enables strategic planning, and ensures that you play a role in setting the mandate of this organization.

Thank you for visiting, for believing in the vision, and for standing with us as we continue to build a community rooted in strength, unity, and purpose. Together, we are Strengthening Our Diversity.

With gratitude and commitment,

Yours in Service,
Kirk Bolton

President
