Meet Kirk Bolton – President

Born and raised in Jamaica | Canadian resident since 2018
Kirk Bolton is a proud Jamaican by birth and heritage, whose journey brought him to Canada in 2018. After initially settling in Ontario, he relocated with his family to Alberta in 2022 and has since called Airdrie home. A committed entrepreneur & devoted family man, Kirk shares his life with his wife, Nekeisha, and their three sons—Kirk Jr., Kyle, and Koby.
Kirk is deeply rooted in the values of service, community, and connection. Throughout his life, he has consistently served in leadership and support roles within every community he has been a part of—whether in Jamaica or Canada. His passion for uplifting others and building inclusive spaces has shaped his dedication to fostering strong networks and meaningful change.
As President of ABC, Kirk’s vision is clear: to elevate the Airdrie Black Community into a vibrant, recognizable, and respected force within the city. He believes that when people work together, grounded in mutual respect and purpose, real transformation happens. His leadership is driven by a desire to ensure that ABC not only thrives but leaves a lasting impact for generations to come.

Meet Faida Mageza - Vice President

Faida is a dynamic and passionate professional with a diverse background spanning entrepreneurship, business and professional roles. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and having moved to Canada in 2010, Faida brings a rich cultural perspective & a strong work ethic to everything she does.
Having experienced life as a stay-at-home parent, entrepreneur & profession-al, Faida possesses a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, & problem-solving skills
Faida’s vision is to help build a strong, united, & empowered Black community in Airdrie that thrives socially, economically, and culturally. Faida is committed to creating a space where every member feels seen, heard, and valued. Where our heritage is celebrated, our voices are amplified, and our youth are inspired to lead with confidence and pride.

Meet Yemisi Akaahs - General Secretary

Yemisi is a Fraud Investigator with a leading Insurance Company in Canada. She served as Secretary to the ABC between Aug 2023 – July 2025, and as Treasurer in the 6 months prior.
Service is the watchword; compassion, the driver. She is dedicated to causes that cater to the upliftment and empowerment of the black community, and the human being at large.
Yemisi is a loving wife, sister, aunt, daughter and mother to many.

Meet Temitope Olukunle - Treasurer

Temitope Olukunle is mortgage professional and active community volunteer with passion for helping individuals and families navigate financial challenges and leveraging real estate as a vehicle for generational wealth creation.

He has over 15 years’ experience in retail and business banking, sales leadership and business development. His childhood dream was to become a medical doctor; but loves what he does by helping people achieve financial fitness (as a “financial doctor”) noting that most medical problems disappear when financial problems are resolved.

Temitope is a Mobile Mortgage Manager with the Mortgage Development Centre of Servus Credit Union where he is credited with helping over 300 families each year with their home financing and wealth creation goals.
He volunteers for several good causes and support organizations that help newcomers thrive in this country they now call home.
Temitope is married with 3 kids.

Meet Ejadamen Ogidan– Public Relations Officer

Ejadamen is proudly Nigerian by heritage and a grateful Canadian by choice for over 13 years. She is married with two wonderful kids. Ejadamen is an independent financial advisor with a heart for community service. Her journey from Nigeria to Canada has taught her resilience, the power of connection, and the importance of lifting others as we climb.
As your fellow member, Ejadamen is here to serve—to listen, represent, and amplify our voices. Her vision for ABC is to see us grow into a stronger, more united force that educates, empowers & inspires our community. She believes in values of integrity, collaboration, inclusion, & continuous growth. Together, we can build bridges, create opportunities, and be a beacon of excellence for generations to come.
